So folks , every year at work i get to hear the same Christmas music over and over .
This year i wanted to see if i could scrape together atleast 1 discs worth of jam Christmas music .
An obvious place to start is with The Grateful Dead
with there version of
-Run Rudolph .
Are ther any other classics hidden on the archive ?

Garaj Mahal plays a pretty mean verion of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen just about every December...I know there's several versions here on the LMA from different years.

Here's some stuff (I did my research):
moe.: 12/12/02 and 12/13/02 - includes carol of the bells, blue christmas

Bob Walkenhorst: 12/22/04 - this show is almost all Christmas songs

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones: 12/11/04 - Nice medley of various christmas songs

and BEST OF ALL:

Watkins Family Hour:
12/18/03
12/23/04
Watkins Family Hour features Sara and Sean Watkins from Nickle Creek! Both shows feature Christmas songs, but 12/23 has a larger selection. Their rendition of Christmas songs such as "Holly and the Ivy" are beautiful and will definitely be a part of my Christmas music collection for years to come.

The Mermen do a lovely "Carol of the Bells" and "Happy Xmas/War is Over" every season, it seems...

Jingle Bells
String Cheese Incident: 12/21/00

What an interesting discussion topic! I hope more people respond - I've often wondered how much good Christmas music can be found here on the archive.

Likewise, typing in a few likely keywords from song titles can work well, like
carol bells

Have fun! :)
